Whimsy Stamps February Release Showcase Day 6

Happy Monday everyone and thanks so much for stopping by!

It's day 6 of Whimsy Stamps February Rubber Stamp and Die Release!
Last Wednesday Whimsy stamps released this month's new Rubber Stamps and Stamp Sets, shapeology dies, Shape EZ by TLC templates, and designer paper packs. They are available to buy right now at the Whimsy Stamps Store.

I hope you had a chance to hop along with us over the last few days for a chance to win some whimsy prizes. If not you still have today and tomorrow to hop along on our daily mini hops, and there are two more prizes to be won!

For today's card I used the adorable stamp Shelly, from Whimsy's Wee Stamps Collection.  I am so loving this stamp, and it was so much fun color!
I decided to make a Shadow Box card with the image. It's been a really long long time since I made one of these, back when I played in the challenges on SCS, way before I had a blog.

It is really easy to create these types of cards. I followed the tutorial on splitcoast. Here is the direct link to it for anyone who wants to give it a try. You can embellish these as little or as much as you want, I kept mine on the simpler side as I usually do.

My image has been colored using faber castell pencils and then I applied glitter. I used one of the nestabilities labels dies to cut out the "window". On the front I used one of stamps from SU's retired sets "Itty bitty backgrounds".

I simply embellished it with some seashell embellishments which I made using old SU stamps and a shrinky dink sheet, added some cheesecloth and a little prima flower.

The sentiment is from the set Lovely Spring Sliders 2 from Whimsy Stamps. It's been cut out using the new sliders 2 die.

I don't normally add this many photos of projects, but wanted to show the 3d effect of the card, so I decided to snap a few extra pictures.

The great thing about these types of cards are, that they lay completely flat for mailing .

Here is a top view.

I would love to enter my card to the following challenges:

Don't forget to visit the rest of the Designteam and leave comments for a chance to win a whimsy prize.

All winners from the daily hops will be announced Wednesday on the

Thanks so much for stopping by! I hope you enjoy your day. I will be back again on Wednesday with some more Whimsy Inspiration for the Whimsy Inspires Challenge.

What a delightful work of art! I THOUGHT I recognized Shrinky Dinks used for the seashells - love them!! (I use SD as often as possible because it makes such good embellies!), and you did a great job on the shadow box card. I especially appreciate all the extra photos as I'm the type that likes to see all the details up close, so thanks very much for sharing in that way, and thanks so much for joining us at AGOAC this week!
