Pocket Card with Tag

Happy Friday! Last Friday of the month already. It's going to be spring soon!!! Although I don't really mind Winter ( just hate driving on wintery roads) I have to admit I am ready for spring now :-) So hopefully the snow we got two days ago was the last one for this season, and that I get to see my snowdrops soon!

It's my turn today to share a creation on the Just For Fun Rubber Stamps blog, and I made a pocket card for today's post. You might have already seen it on instagram. I like to post my creations there as I make them :-) If you'd like to follow me, the link is on my side bar.

The tag is actually a rubber stamp by Just For Fun. All I did for the tag was create the watercolor wash background, stamping in black ink, and layering the cut out  tag onto black card stock.
To make my watercolor wash, I inked up a clear stamping block using distress inks, spritzed it with plenty of water and then stamped onto watercolor paper. Fun and so easy to do!

As you can see above, I stamped the tag image again onto a watercolor wash scrap, and cut out just the butterfly to create a 3d effect.

I thought this tag would make a cute bookmark too, so decided to make a pocket card for it, instead of just adhering it to the card. I made my pocket from vellum.

I finished it off with the sentiment which I added with black brads.

Products used:
distress inks (turquoise, grape, pink), versafine onyx ink
water, clear stamp block
papers from stash
 brads, sticky pearls, twill, twine
