Let's Color Linky Party 11

Hello everyone and welcome to the new Let's Color Linky Party! As some of you may know I took the month of July off from the linky party but happy to be back now. School will be starting again here in less than two weeks and things should be back to normal soon. Not happy that summer break is ending already but I am one of those rare people that prefer cold over hot weather and I am just ready for some cooler days. My body just doesn't tolerate the heat well, especially over 100 degree weather which we had to deal with recently.

Thank you so much everyone for playing along in my June linky party! Be sure to scroll down to see if your creation was a top pick.

As usual,
anything goes here as long as it is something you colored

Doesn't have to be a card, this can be a home decor item, scrapbook page, completed coloring page, artist trading card, etc.

For my creation today I colored up one of Mo Manning's cute images, I wanted to play along again in Mo's challenge :-)

I got a new (my first) DSLR camera for my birthday, love it, but need to figure out a way how to eliminate the rather dark background. I use a daylight (OTT) lamp, but I am sure it doesn't help to take these photos at 10pm at night. Might have to invest in a lightbox or build one. I even tried playing with a photo software, but can't get the background to light up, although I am using a white sheet as my backdrop. Would love to hear any tips you may have. If you use a light box, do you use more than one lamp?  I really need to educate myself. Maybe taking photos in daylight would be the answer.
Anyway, I used my Faber Castell polychromos pencils on Neenah solar crest card stock. A lot of time was spent on coloring doing the "burnishing" technique. Love this look but it does take a really long time to get finished, probably took me about 3 hours (or more) to do just the coloring.
Card itself has been kept CAS, but I did do some machine sewing.

This card is now also listed in my Etsy shop if you are interested.
Card has been sold.

As mentioned above, I am playing along in Mo's Digital Pencil Challenge where anything goes with a Mo Manning image.

And now onto the top 3 from the June entries. As always it is hard to narrow it down to just 3, but  I did manage and here they are in no particular order:

Congratulations ladies, below is your top pick badge for your blogs :-)

Now it's time for you to color again. Can't wait to see what you choose!
You have until August 31st, 8pm CST to play along. Simply link your blog post below. (Unfortunately for now I have to use text links as my inlinkz account expired and the price has doubled).
Just a few reminders:
Must include something colored
Blog post must include link back here
Unlimited entries and feel free to combine with other challenges
Anything goes with something colored

PS: Just a quick note to mention that I try my very best to comment on all your entries. However, I cannot comment on blogs requiring a google plus account, and I might be unable to comment on some online gallery entries. I do have a Splitcoast account and Flickr account, but I am sure there are some galleries or forums that I am not a member of and therefore won't be able to comment.

ETA 5/20/18:

To protect the privacy of those who entered this challenge, the linky tool has now been removed.

That's so cute and your coloring is absolutely spectacularly amazing! I don't have good daylight for my photos and have to use three Ott lights and still do a little editing. I shine one light on the background and two on the subject. I have a box with a bottom and two sides. One side is white to reflect the light. The other side is open so I can get the lights in there. Clip on different backgrounds. It's not great and my photos are frustrating sometimes. I looked at light tents, but they take so much room to set up with all the lights. I have one Ott floor lamp that's always in place, and the other two lights are smaller and easy to move from my stamp space to my photo space. I don't have to unplug them or anything. Easy, really, but not exactly professional. Wish I was able to be more helpful. Good luck!

Cool blog! Is your theme custom made or did you download it from somewhere?
A theme like yours with a few simple adjustements would really
make my blog jump out. Please let me know where you got your
theme. Thanks a lot
